Frame is a bus shelter designed for Museum SAN (Space/Art/Nature) located in the mountains of Wonju. The main concept of this project was to provide a waiting space that enables visitors to experience nature in an ever-changing environment. Based on Museum SAN's concept and philosophy, we created a triangular geometric design incorporating the site's conditions as much as possible. The wall is at a 40-degree angle to naturally connect with the roads coming from the museum, allowing a more accessible circulation for visitors.
Space itself functions as a frame that captures the elements of the nature of its surroundings. The structure introduces nature (wind, light, environment) and creates a unique experience for visitors engaging with the bus shelter.
This project aims to emphasise architecture as experience, pushing its boundaries beyond function.
